Big E Lost the Mullet

Easton has needed a hair cut for a while. When I did his hair in his little mohawk, it was like two inches high. And he had the little mullet tail in the back that was lookin pretty good. Its just that when babies get their first hair cut, it never fails to make them look older and lose part of that baby look. But I gave in and we had awesome Aunt Nola cut it.
Here we have the before...maybe I should have kept the party in the back.
Easton is pretty mellow, I thought he'd be fine sitting in the chair by himself. Um, not so much.

I had to hold him on my lap but he did great holding very still wondering what was goin on.
And here is the finished product, handsome and happy! Thanks Nola!

The Little Fella is Walkin!

Check this out. He is crusin! He just figured he could skip all the steps like crawling, getting up and down...lets get to the fun stuff! He still needs help getting up, and he isn't very graceful in his falling, but he loves his new found freedom. I can't believe he is so big! (Sorry, I'm a dork and you have to look at the video sideways...)

Lake Cleveland Dirt

This past weekend we headed up to Idaho for the annual Powell reunion, my mom's mom's family. We had a blast camping, eating, laughing and eating. Ever heard of Jumbo JUMBO hot dogs? Oh yeah. We roasted those babies. They are a quarter pound. Makes me a little sick thinking of it now. The highlight was definitely watching Easton have a ball. He loves being outside so he was in heaven being in the great outdoors all day, looking at the big trees, mountains and...dirt. He discovered the beauty of dirt. The dirt up there is so fine and dusty, it clings to everything. My mom was all too eager to show Easton how fun it could be the moment we got there, bare feet and all. I think she was so happy to watch a little boy have fun and get dirty and know SHE didn't have to clean him up! He is such a boy, he was lovin every minute of it, looking for rocks and throwing them and the ground, pausing to taste one now and then...hahaha. Fun times!
