I stole this from a blog I read, and thought it might be kinda fun. I tag Connie, Niesha, Sarah, Tiffany, Crystal, Lyndsay, Mickie and everyone else that should be starting a blog soon (aka Emily)! I better see this on your blogs, girls!
what's his name? Randon Ray Russell
how long have you been together? Well, since we started dating would be 2 years 4 months.
how long did you date? Oh...just a meager 4 months. When you know you know!
how old is he? 27
who eats more? Randon can down 9 eggs and a whole package of bacon if he feels like it (I really hope our kids get HIS metabolism)...but I swear I always seem to be hungry and he isn't.
who said 'I love you' first? He did!!
who is taller? Randon is.
who sings better? Hahaha well...seeing that his high school choir teacher officially diagnosed him with tone deficiency...I'll say me.
who is smarter? Hmmm. He knows lots of random trivia facts. However, I scored higher on my ACT, I'll take this one.
who does the laundry? Hahaha sadly, I must admit Randon is better at getting it done.
who does the dishes? I'll say...its pretty equal.
who sleeps on the right side of the bed? When we got married he insisted on the right side. Who knows why.
who pays the bills? One more point for him.
who mows the lawn? Well we haven't had a lawn yet, but when we do, he says he won't let me touch it. Very picky about how lawns look after his lawn mowing "business" growing up.
who cooks dinner? One advantage of living with in laws...meals provided. I try to help.
who drives when you are together? Randon. I assist though. I'm a terrible right seat driver when he drives. :)
who is more stubborn? Oh man. I'm sure we'll be fighting for that title forever.
who kissed who first? He kissed me!
who asked who out first? He was persuaded by his family to call me for a blind date.
who proposed? Me. Just kidding. Of course he did!
who is more sensitive? Oh my heck. I've seen Randon cry once. I was sure when he watched his offspring enter the world I might see a tear, but no. I cry all the time. If thats what sensitive is, then I win this one.
who has more friends? Uh...I guess we'll tie.
who has more siblings? He's got me beat by one.
who wears the pants in the family? Oh he knows I do. Randon! Get back in the kitchen where you belong!!

Its a Christmas Miracle!!!
Randon and I actually closed on our house. No empty promises this time, we were actually signing papers. After waiting for four months it doesn't seem real. Randon and I are still skeptical, it won't fund till next week so until then...we won't get our hopes up too high. But still...a Christmas miracle! That and that I fit into a pair of pants for the first time in months and found an old 20 dollar bill in the back pocket! Sweeeeeeet.
Mom Torture
Easton had his two month well check on Wednesday. I was as nervous for it as I get when I have to go to the dentist. I did not want to watch him get his shots, I'm such a baby. Its just so sad that they don't know whats going on, they don't know what hurts so bad, and look to their moms to save them. Mom torture for sure. I made Randon go with me and hold him. I'm not gonna lie. I cried a little bit. Maybe it was the stress of that and Christmas shopping and hosting a Bunco night all in one day...hmmmm. Easton was a champ tho.

Nativity Adventure
So my sister in law, Shana, is a very talented photographer (she saved the day with my bridal pictures) and wanted to take pictures of the nativity scene with all of the grandkids. She got awesome costumes and planned to take the pics while we were all at the Christmas party. Little Easton got to play the part of baby Jesus. It turned out to be quite an adventure. We dressed and loaded all of the kids and headed down to the life size stable thing and headed out into the FREEZING cold. Everyone was in a hurry and cold and of course the guys just didn't understand the concept of the whole thing...by the time we were snapping pictures, everyone was laughing cause of the chaos. The little sheep wouldn't stay still, the teenage wise men wanted to make funny faces, but it turned out so dang cute! And little Easton, bless his heart, was so good, didn't make a peep, and was a good sport for the whole thing. I can't wait to see the real pics Shana took, I'm sure they turned out awesome!

My Photography Skills Shine Yet Again...
Okay, so you can understand, I see my adorable husband and son sleeping together and think... photo op!! I've seen those cute pictures before, and can just imagine the "awwing" over my two little treasures cuddling and snoozing together. Not to be. Grab the camera...turn on...makes loud annoying noise...now husband is awake and annoyed. No longer adorable. Doh!
Easton's Blessing
We decided to bless Easton at my parents' house last Monday, December 10. I really liked the intimate setting and from the feedback I got, everyone else liked it too. We just had family over and had a little dinner afterwards. Randon gave a really nice blessing...it makes me feel really blessed to have such a great husband and a great son. Easton looked so cute. My mom altered my 15 year old brother's blessing tux for Easton to wear. Complete with tails and a bow tie, I loved it! Easton however was not happy to be all dressed up...I guess he takes after his dad.

Oh Christmas Tree....
We have a tradition to cut down a tree at a Christmas tree farm in Alpine on the day after Thanksgiving. I was really excited for this year, expecting to be in my own house and expecting to get a tree of our own. Alas, we are still waiting to close, so no new house to hold a tree. It was SO cold, Easton and I weren't out there very long anyway. We are enjoying my parents tree though, I LOVE the fresh pine smell. So yeah...that double chin and chubby cheeks of mine in that pic are really motivating me to go work out. Sheesh. Good thing those dang cute babies are worth it.

What was I thinking?
So...funny story. I wish I could tell the story before you saw the pictures, sadly it looks like my poor baby is being tortured. Just hold on...don't call child protective services. So, my sister Cassidie, who is a senior in high school, really wants to be a photographer. She had interned with Kathryn Michaels who apparently shot many cute pics of tiny babies. Cass thought she could give it a shot, and I thought hey... save money on studio pics...give her some practice...everybody wins, right? So Cass set up her own studio with lights and a backdrop...pretty awesome...now all we needed was sweet little Easton minus warm cuddly sleepers and blankets. I am obviously an amateur at this whole mother thing. He was sleeping so, smooth sailing right? Negative. Had he eaten recently? Negative. Does baby Easton love hangin out nekkid? Negative. So needless to say, I got him all ready to go and he wakes up. Oh...we'll try anyway. Poor kid was literally trying to crawl away. Sigh. Learned that lesson. Better luck next time I hope.

Halloween 2007
Easton was an adorable little hunter for Halloween. We got the "authentic" camo sleeper from Cabellas and my mom made his beanie that says, "I'm ready to go hunting Daddy". Isn't my mother talented? I had to post pictures since our Halloween outings didn't venture past the pediatrician's office. Randon and I didn't even dress up...LAME! I'll post a pic from last year and pretend.
Backtracking...
I was scheduled to be induced on October 15 at 9:00 pm. 22 long hours later, Easton Kenneth Russell was finally born!! It was so hard to imagine that my huge belly actually had a baby in it, I couldn't believe he was really here! He weighed 8 lbs 2 oz and was 20 inches long. After pushing for so long, I was exhausted...as you can tell in the LOVELY pic. Oh man, I just glowed with beauty didn't I? YIKES! Anyway, I was happy when I had enough rest that I could actually hold the little man. He was and still is more perfect than I could have ever imagined (as I'm sure every mom would say about their children). Easton is a great baby! He is just so calm and observant when he is awake, I'm sure he is just trying to take in all the craziness at my mom's house with so many people and so much noise. He just turned 6 weeks old yesterday...crazy! Time flies when you are sleep deprived... These days we are trying our hardest to get a smile out of him. The first time I thought he was smiling, I got so excited, I let out an excited squeal and of course scared the poor little guy and that smile was history. My mom and dad and Randon have all claimed to have gotten a smile...go figure.
He teases me with little half smiles sometimes...I'll just be patient.
Here we go...
