Painting: Round 1

Now that we are in our house, I am so eager to get everything decorated and lookin awesome. But apparently the responsible thing to do is get practical things first, like a washer and dryer...maybe some blinds.. Its overwhelming to think of everything I'll have to check off my list before I can start looking into things that are a little more aesthetically pleasing. Anyway... I figured I could finish my little laundry/mudroom and feel like I'd done something fun in my house. So...I hired my awesome mom to help me paint. She is a pro. I chose a color she has in her house that just makes me happy. It looks a little darker and little more mellow than it is in the picture. I want to hang cute black and white pictures of Easton on the wall and use some black accents. We'll see. What do you think? It was actually kinda fun...thanks Mom! Next, the kitchen!!

Bag Tag!

I was tagged by Emily, and loved this idea. I admit, I went to clean out my purse and put clever things in it before I took the picture, but I decided to be honest and let the cat out of the bag...I keep loads of trash in my purse apparently.
I have lots of extras cause I carry my purse inside of my diaper bag. So...
-All the baby paraphernalia like diapers, wipes, formula, burp cloth, butt cream, thermometer (why its in there I don't know), gripe water (love this stuff!), tylenol, baby nail clippers (like I'm going to randomly give Easton a manicure and a rectal temperature while I'm on the go...) etc.
-Random things I didn't know where in there like... Becky's Christmas card picture (I guess I just want to keep you close to my heart Becky:)), keys to the truck that I rarely drive (that makes me wonder where my keys are), weight watchers stuff, Easton's socks (?), ibuprofen in a pink thing (was recently asking around for some when I had a headache and had some myself and didn't know it...one of the perks of being organized I suppose...having what you need and knowing its there...) an old shopping list, a big ol' pile of garbage
-Enough binkies for the whole neighborhood
-Sunglasses, phone, lipgloss (all the same color and no chapstick, not very efficient), wallet.

I would love to see what you all carry around! I tag EVERYONE on my list. Unless you don't want to of course. :) Plus Becky so she'll start a blog. :)

Thanks Aunt Chantel!

We love the hat! I love that its supposed to fit a 2 year old. We've got one huge noggin! Hopefully that just means he'll be smart! :)

You Should See the Other Guy...

So...Randon works sometimes at the boys ranch, actually its called Westridge Academy which is sort of a youth correctional facility for boys. Well this past Saturday some whacko boy attacked Randon. They are trained to restrain the boys if necessary and had just undergone a new training for a less aggressive restraint, apparently so boys wouldn't get hurt as often. Well apparently this way doesn't protect the staff very well. He was bitten on the face and hand as you can see. I'm just surprised Randon didn't kill this kid, when it comes to some of those boys calling him on, it takes all he has to keep his cool.
