Yesterday was Randon's birthday and we celebrated by driving home from Green River! Woo hoo, what a party! Anyway, this is how Randon would choose to do his hair every day, that is, NOT do it. He said since it was his birthday he wasn't going to do it. Hey, we were camping, why not have him look like a crazy person? And so my love looked so handsome for his birthday. The big 2-8! We are so lucky to have such an awesome daddy/husband. We love you!

Girls (and boys) Day Out!
Yesterday, Easton and I went to lunch to catch up with some great friends! We got to see Laura whom I haven't seen in ages and her little boy Cameron. We also got to see Em with little Brenley in her tummy, who is coming May 6! We are so excited, we can't wait! We were talking about how crazy it is that it seems like just yesterday we were in high school having a blast and then there we were with our own children! Laura was a senior class officer and reminded us that our 5 year reunion is this summer! Holy cow! Sounds like great motivation to get my rear in gear and get into the best shape ever! Anyway, we had great time at good ol' IHOP.

Our View

So when we moved in, this is what we saw across the way. How lovely. It was a brand new model home and no one is really sure how it happened. We've mostly heard arson. There were a few rumors that the builder was going under and he set it on fire to get the insurance money. The house was torn down after I took this picture. Most of the other homes around us are being finished and we don't have many neighbors yet. So once in awhile a cop will come drive slowly by and shine his spotlight all over in the empty houses. I didn't realize that this was a bit scary until I forced my lazy bum outside in the dark one night to go running. Okay, jogging. Okay, most could probably walk faster but I digress... So there I am in the dark quiet, jogging along, and see all of the empty houses and can just imagine the creepy arsonists hiding out in the unfinished houses just waiting to pounce. Then I realize I am breathing pretty loud because I'm not quite to the athletic level I should be. So then I try to breathe quiet so I won't be noticed. That didn't work. I have to have oxygen apparently to exert myself like that. So I had to run really fast to get home. Wow long story. Anyway, moral: if you need motivation to run faster, go somewhere spooky. That was a good workout. And lets hope no arsonists are lurking around my neighborhood anymore.

My Little Bubba

I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up. He is creeping up on 5 months old! I remember thinking I couldn't wait for him to smile all the time and be at the stage where he would be developing his personality. Now I just want time to slow down! Easton is so fun. He smiles and giggles all the time. He has definitely found his voice and likes to use it. When he was a newbie, I said he was calm and observant...I guess things change! He loves attention and likes to be the center of it. He is loving books and toys and sitting in his bouncer and has discovered the treasure of...crinkling paper! When we went to his 4 month well check, the doc asked if he was rolling over. Not yet... She asked if he would twist and turn while he was on the floor. Well...I couldn't answer very well seeing as he is rarely on the floor! He always has someone wanting to hold him. Randon now has him on a rigorous rolling over training, not wanting to be behind on anything. (Okay not really, but we're working on it.) As for sitting up, he almost has that nailed, mostly because the kid is so solid...he has plenty to hold him up. He is going to be a pro at eating. We've started a little rice cereal and he LOVES to eat. He didn't even spit any back out the first try. He loves playing with his dad and gets so excited when he sees Randon walk into the room. He definitely has mommy wrapped around his finger. I can watch and listen to him for hours, he is the best entertainment. And honestly nothing brings me more pure joy than listening to him laugh or seeing him smile. Its so fun to watch him learn and grow. We can't wait for warm weather so we can play outside!
