baby bubba.

Oh little mister.
I can't believe we will be meeting you so soon. I am really quite excited. Daddy and Easton are excited too. Easton is quite sure you will look JUST like him.
You sure are an active little thing. I swear sometimes you are dancing in there. Your hiccups and dancing come right on schedule...right when I lay down to go to bed. But I love it.
I can't wait to hold and cuddle and kiss you and smell your new baby smell!
We love you so much already!

yep. seems about right.

This is a picture Easton drew in Primary. The two figures on the bottom are Daddy and Easton. The top is "Giant Mommy". Sweet. Pretty much how I'm feeling these days. At least I'm finally in my third trimester. Woohoo!

swimming lessons!

This week we started swimming lessons and E is having a blast! The first thing he said when he woke up Monday morning was, "Mom! Swimming lessons are today!" We had been anxiously awaiting that day. Easton is just doing great...jumping right in and trying whatever Miss Karie asks. We love her and I'm so glad he'll get to know her as she will also be his preschool teacher. He is one brave little boy and I'm a proud mama!

Handsome boy waiting for his turn...
Doing great with his face in the water and kicking...

Doing the "waterbed"
So exciting!
Yippee!!!
We are so happy it finally feels like summer!

i've been busy...

creating vital organs! Woohoo!!! I am pregnant with our second baby and we are so excited! I am about 6 months...still awhile to go. So much has happened since my last post, it is overwhelming to try and catch up. Right after my last post I started with the lovely morning (all day) sickness. I really wasn't that sick with Easton, so I was like, "What the heck?! This is miserable!" "No, really! This isn't fun! I'm sick...all day. ALL DAY!" I now have a higher appreciation for mothers who have to go through that. It's funny how fast I have forgotten it though, I already look back and think...it must not have been that bad. Now I am feeling pretty great, I have my energy back, I'm just feeling...large. I have been craving cereal and Chikfila. Mmmm...that sounds good right now. I feel like I've been a lot more likeable this pregnancy...at least I feel like I'm not as ornery and irritable as I was with E.
So at first Easton told us we were having two babies. He was just sure. And their names were going to be Mary and Joe. Yeah. He came up with that all by himself. Then when we had our first ultrasound and showed Easton there was only one baby. He then was positive it was a boy. The baby in the picture didn't have any hair. Obviously. And his name was to be Joe. I was convinced I was having a girl. This pregnancy was going so different. Easton would not believe it though. And when we went to have an ultrasound at 16 weeks, he was right!  We are having another boy! And we are so excited! Easton has changed his mind on the name though. He now says the name is going to be Luke. (He pronounces it "uke") Not sure where he comes up with this stuff.
I'm just so excited. I can't believe we will have another member of our family, it has been just us 3 for quite a while. I can't wait to see him and see the differences and similarities to East and to watch Easton be a big brother. He is already so sweet when he talks about the baby. He also keeps us laughing saying things along the way like, "Mom, don't lift up your shirt or the baby will escape." We can't wait for him to get here. I just have to make it through the hot summer. Wish me luck.
We have been busy and have done so much since I last updated. We had Valentine's Day and Randon and I celebrated our 5th anniversary and stayed at the Little America. We had the leprechaun visit our house on St. Patricks day, we celebrated birthdays and had a fun Easter.
Cute boy!
Chilly trip to the zoo!

Easton has been cracking us up lately as usual. One funny thing I want to remember is that when he was younger, he called root beer "fruit beer". Now it is called "root beard". He has entered the stage of the I Want... everything he sees on TV he just really really needs. The funny thing is that this even includes household items. At one time or another he has come to tell me that we need oxyclean or a spacebag. The best was when he told us we really need an O Cedar ProMist. It's a mop. He showed me at the store. Haha. He is signed up for swimming lessons this summer and preschool in the fall...my little boy is getting so big! He is great at spelling his name working on writing the letters and can count to 14... then skips to 18. :)  He is always saying funny things like..."Oh for crying out loud." or "Listen up, Dad!" Oh! And the big news! Big E is potty trained!!!! YES! He was adamant about his dislike for the potty and had no interest, but when I finally buckled down and got serious about it...he learned so fast and did great! We are so happy. Although I didn't think it through when I was trying to bribe him the months before ... everything he would see...."yes buddy...you can have that...if you go in the potty." Boy has a good memory. Now he sees things...and remembers, oh...I went on the potty! I can have that now! I have to explain...I kinda meant like...one of those things. His favorite thing is probably going to the park in the evenings with Daddy while they let me rest. He has such a great Daddy that will do anything for him. He really loves his daddy. Daddy has to be the one to read him stories at night. I even try to do cool voices. Nope. Daddy. Oh how I love that boy. I guess I'll wrap up this super long post and do better at updating...crossing my fingers...

for tiny little feet...

I am excited to be selling these little booties. Some cute footwear for your little darlings.

I'm just getting started, so check out my etsy shop (link in the sidebar----->) and tell me what you think.  I currently have the brown with pink buttons and the black for sale. I love the black ones. Who doesn't need some Sunday shoes for their newborn? Who? Tell me. How about some white ones with the pearl button detail for a blessing? Anyway, let me know what you think.
And. I'm still working on a name for this whole thing. Any suggestions? Anyone? Anyone?
P.S. Go check out my cousin Danielle's blog (aka Danielle+Danny ---->). She has a link to her etsy shop where she sells her super cute baby headbands and clips. Love them!

11 things on 1.11.11

11 Things I Did Today
1. Had Special K (fruit & yogurt variety) for breakfast. Mmm.
2. Crocheted some baby booties that I am preparing to sell. Oh yeah. Be excited.
3. Worked on etsy shop for said baby booties.
4. Got nervous about opening an etsy shop like all of a sudden my life would change and I would have no time for being a mother OR that people would reject my crocheted creations and drive by and throw rotten vegetables at my house.
5. Told myself to get a grip.
6. Sang with Easton in the car.
7. Met Randon to apply for more life insurance. Wow. That was a party.
8. Stopped to say hi to Grandma.
9. Went to Relief Society activity where I supposed to take pictures of the event and my camera battery died halfway through. Camera phone pictures will have to do.
10. Read Easton not 2, but 3 stories before bed "because he is 3".
11. Blogged. Yay.

a new year.

Oh goodness. It is now the middle of January. The holidays have come and gone. And they were wonderful. We had lots of fun. Here we have E on Christmas Eve in his new jammies...
We had such a good time with family and doing all of the fun things that go along with Christmas. We got a new camcorder for Christmas so all of our focus on Christmas morning went to video. Now I am kinda sad that we don't have more pictures. Oh well. It was a great day and Easton had a blast and got everything he asked for.

And we are on to a new year. The beginning of the year brought a big change for E, he is now a Sunbeam! I can't believe it. It really does not feel like that long ago that I was writing the post about his first day in nursery. He is growing up. He is doing awesome as a Sunbeam, though it didn't start out that way. When they started bringing them in from nursery for singing time, he was not a happy camper. I am the primary chorister and he would see me up there and not know what was going on. His first time, he stood up, balled up his fists and let out an Incredible Hulk like yell/roar. I didn't even know what to do. He had never had issues with anger like that. I think he was just in unfamiliar territory and didn't know what was going on and he wasn't liking the idea  that he couldn't sit with me. At home I gave him a little pep talk and said we would have a secret code...I would wink at him from my seat and he would wink back. He agreed. Turns out he changed his mind. I winked at him the next week and he stood up and firmly stated, "Nope. Nope. I'm not going to. I'm not. No." And then proceeded to have another hulk anger moment. But after that he did better and better. And last week, I happened to glance over at him, and  he winked at me. Melted my heart a little. Now he is a little Sunbeam pro!
Last week he was even the spotlight! It was so fun to hear the answers he told his teachers:
Favorite food: Tuna sandwiches
Favorite color: red and blue
What he wants to be when he grows up: like his Daddy
If he could go anywhere: In daddy's car where he could spin the steering wheel
If he could have a superpower: run really fast
I'll have to check the paper to see if I forgot any. He is so dang funny. I love him.
Here is to a great 2011!!
