Yeah we pretty much live in the boonies. If only we could say that was all our property. Our backyard extends like 3 feet from our house. Anyway...just a random antelope trottin around. Randon has seen foxes..foxi...fox...feex...(what is the plural for fox?) and other animal life. I hear there has been cougar sightings in West Jordan. Yikes! I hope it doesn't come around hunting antelope and foxi!

Where the Deer and the Antelope Play...
So this is what we see when we look in our back yard:

9th Grade Lagoon Day - Yeah Baby!
So my dear friend Kate teaches at a junior high in Roy. As such, she got to accompany the ninth graders to Lagoon yesterday. And being the great friend that she is, she invited me to come along. How could I refuse? We even got to ride the school bus! So I left Easton to have a fun day with his daddy and grandma and off we went. It was funny to listen to the students and hear about their life shattering drama. Those were the days. Here is the lovely Mrs. Barker with her students on the bus. Its so weird to watch her as a teacher, I swear we were just in ninth grade! She does a great job.
So we get there and it is FREEZING! I wore flip flops. Yeah. Smart. It was raining through out the day so we look so lovely with our matted hair and blue lips. We rode several rides and had a grand time.
At one point we were so cold and the only heated place in the dang park was the gift shop so we loitered in there a bit to warm up. Lucky we did because we found these awesome Lagoon hats!
Even though it was cold, it was lots of fun. We were even brave and rode "Wicked". I almost peed my pants. Oh, and here if you look closely, is Kate on the terror ride. She was absolutely terrified. :)
Thank you Kate for the Lagoon adventure! Being with those kids made me feel young again. Okay not really. I'm really GLAD I'm not in junior high anymore!

Husband Disclaimer
For the last week or so, I haven't been able to look at Randon with a straight face. Check this out:
Why he is so dedicated to the cause of Mustache May, I'll never know. I don't even know what idiot thought of this or why. Randon fully acknowledges the fact that this look really isn't the best for him. If we go anywhere public I feel like I need to shout a disclaimer of "My husband really isn't a shady character! He's growing it for Mustache May!". Just for the record, I hate it. It tickles me when I give him a kiss...pardon me...I just threw up a little. Haha. Not really, but I really bust up laughing every time. Lucky for me, family pictures are on Saturday so I don't have to deal with it for a whole month. He threatens to keep it, but he knows I along with his sisters would tackle him to the ground and shave it ourselves before it was in the picture. His friend said he looks even worse with his sunglasses on. I pretty much agree. According to my love, its all the rage and everyone must do it. So...why is he the only one I see that is sporting this fine look?

Good Times

On Saturday I was able to meet up with some of the girls I was a laurel with back in the day. We went to Leatherby's, our old hang out where Kate and I have been known to get into a caramel fight. Its so crazy to see everyone now and how everyone has changed so much and just doin their own thang. We had such a great time at that age, Choya and Peggy were our leaders whom we absolutely love. We were always doing crazy things, having a blast at girls camp, they even took us to Lake Powell where I tried to moon everyone while tubing and fell off and almost drowned bottomless...(honestly, where did I come from?) Its so fun to remember being so carefree and having sleepovers, staying up all night laughing till we peed, then going toilet papering and eating candy till we were sick. Good times. It was great to catch up with everyone. Back row is Choya, Melissa, Kate, me and Peggy, front row is Mandi, Ashlee and Anna.

Mom

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there! When I think about how much I love my mom, I just get emotional. (I have been such a cry baby since Easton was born.) I feel so blessed to have such an amazing woman to call mom. She is an example to me in so many ways. Especially now, being a mother myself, I can only appreciate more everything she has done for me. I know it sounds cliche, but I wouldn't be who I am today without her love and support. Her testimony is so strong, she delights in the gospel and I love that. She is funny, smart and beautiful and I learn from her everyday (especially these days with my gazillion questions about Easton). I truly have a special place in my heart when it comes to the importance of motherhood and I believe it is because I have such a great mom. Everyone teases me because I'm at her house so much, but she is my best friend! (She is such an awesome grandma too, so Easton loves to see her!) Thank you for being my mom Lisa, I love you!
